Karoubas grandkids

We finally got all the grankids in one place at one time! The only other photo I can remember of all the kids together was taken about 10 years ago. Time sure flies.

Poor Popou

Popou George has a complex meniscal tear in his knee. He will need to have arthroscopic treatment -- it's out patient. Parastika Popou! Don't worry, the docs will get you all patched up and you'll be back to swing dancing with Nana in no time! We love you!

I am trying to see if I can post from a different computer. This is an image from our trip to Europe in 2006. Me and the boys are at the top of Mount Etna in Sicily. Sorry for such an old photo, but these are the only images on this computer. It seems to have worked, so I will post something more current soon!

Dinner Dance

Our Koraes School held their Annual Dinner Dance this past Sunday and mom and Yiayia joined our family this year. Yiayia enjoyed hearing the Greek music, watching the young children dance in ethnic costumes and she even got up and joined in!
(Excuse the quality of the pictures, my camera is not working properly.)

Snow comes to Georgia!

It has been about 6 years since the boys have seen snow. They are elated to be sledding with their buddy John.

Happy New Year .. with Love, The Brogato's

Our New Year’s Wish For You

May your hair, your teeth, your face-lift, your abs and your stocks not fall, and may your blood pressure, your triglycerides, your cholesterol, your white blood count and your mortgage interest not rise.
May you get a clean bill of health from your dentist, your cardiologist, your gastroenterologist, your urologist, your proctologist, your podiatrist, your plumber and the IRS.
May you find your way to travel from anywhere to anywhere in the rush hour in less than an hour, and when you get there may you find a parking space.
May you go to the bank and find your account is in order, your money is still there and any mistakes are in your favor.
May you have the strength to go through a year of presidential campaigning, and may some of the promises made be kept.
May you believe at least half of what the candidates propose, and may those elected fulfill at least half of what they promise, and the miracle of reducing taxes and balancing budgets happen.
May what you see in the mirror delight you, and what others see in you delight them.
May the telemarketers wait to make their sales calls until you finish dinner, and may your check book and your budget balance, and may they include generous amounts for charity.
May you remember to say “I LOVE YOU” at least once a day to your spouse, your child, your parent, but not to your secretary, your nurse, your masseuse, your hairdresser or tennis instructor.

Have a Happy and Healthy 2008

Love,
The Brogato’s

Spinning: not my cup o' tea

It was record cold in Orlando on Wednesday: 27 degrees. We cut our trip short by two days. So crowded too, only rode four rides all day. Note to self: no more holiday Disney trips, next time we'll pull the boys out of school. I hear mid October is a great time to go.

The week we spent with Nana and Popou was great: weather, fun and company. Back home now, back to work and school and the routine. Packing up the Christmas decorations and bracing myself for Monday. Love to all in the new year. Cheryl

HAPPY NEW YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of our friends and family - in the USA, Canada, and Greece.

Barbara and I were blessed this year with visits by the Pappases, Karamihases, Art and Soto, Sharon - and then Katherine and Pat were the Girls Gone Wild. Then Tom and Dorie flew in from California with Hollyn and Alexis for a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with us and the Shubers.

For Christmas we had the Shubers, the Praters, and the Brogato family here. We mixed great food with boating and beach fun. Then Kim and Mike went home, the Brogatos went to Key Largo and swam with dolphins - then met the Praters at Disneyworld. Whew !!! Barbara and I will be on the couch for about a week to recover.
