Paul's Visit

We were all very excited to have Paul visit from England the past two weeks. The cousins always have a good time together. We're hoping to see him again during Christmas!
Here is a poem that Paul wrote at school several years ago:

Love Is

To a child love is
an unsolved mystery naught about it known
To a lover love is
a roller coaster forever up and down

To an author love is
inspiration unblocking the flow of words
To a lover love is
a landscape with storns and sunlight bright

To an acolyte love is
his faith in which he believes with all his heart
To me love is
an experience that I will one day recognise

Yiayia's 90th Album

For whomever may be interested, there is a digital scrapbook of Yiayia's birthday party that also includes pictures of her trip to Vegas now available for purchase on line. I tried to include everyone using the pictures I took as well as those from Art, my dad, and Auntie Flo. The price of a book is about $55 which I know is not chicken feed, but it is bound with a linen cover and very nicely printed. It looks really professional. No guilt about putting them in an album - it's already done. (Dad - two copies are on their way to your house.)

I have done the boys' school year books through this service (Photoworks.com) for two years running and have always been pleased with the results.

Sooo Pretty!

The Karoubas house has gotten a facelift this summer! Mom has re-landscaped her front yard and has gotten rave reviews! As a matter of fact, for the first time ever, she has won the prestigious "Beautification Award" from the City of Palos Hills.

We are all so excited for our mom and her beautiful yard! Let her know how you like it too!

Out of Commission

AAWW, my little sis! Poor Eleni broke her leg on Monday and is in a cast for the next 2 months! I don't know how Dominick's will survive without her.

Karamihas & Pappas - Florida Trip

Katherine came down to her condo in LightHouse Bay and was visited by The Pappas Pride and Karamihas Klan. Needless to say, a wonderful time was had by all with side trips to Tarpon Springs and Universal by the Karamihases and a visit to Busch Gardens by the Pappas contingent. The whole group went to Billie Swamp Seminole Reservation and took and Air Boat through the swamp then they all hopped onto a Swamp Buggy and took an eco-safari through the swamp and saw bison, water buffalo, ostrich, elk, panther, black bear - you get the picture! Lots of food and great Karounos hospitality from Uncle George and Aunt Barbara, visits to Sanibel Island and Ft. Myers Beach Pier capped off this first of many visits to Katherine's home in LightHouse Bay!!!
